This Earth Day, we’re reflecting on how far things have shifted.
We live in a time where too many products are made to be replaced, rather than relied on. Fast, disposable, forgettable. But it wasn’t always like this and it can't stay this way.
At Stratus Outdoors, we believe gear should go the distance. Built with purpose, made to last, and designed to be part of your story for years, not seasons.
This Earth Day, here's a friendly reminder: if you love exploring the natural spaces of this beautiful Country, give her some respect. Explore with gear built to last, not made to fail and pollute the natural spaces we all want to enjoy for generations to come. Rethink your support of brands that produce for cheap and repeat purchases. That gear will likely be in a landfill within months. That landfill doesn't disappear.
Take care of your kit. Repair it, respect it, and make it last.
A cleaner environment isn’t just about what we throw away; it’s about what we choose to keep, and care for.

In this video we took a short drive up to Double Island Point. By the third campsite, it was hard to ignore. Discarded gear left behind. Cheap equipment abandoned to weather, wind, and time. In the next big storm, it will wash further into our ocean.
